As many as 150 personnel of East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Task Force has started cleaning the Pulo Nangka the 300-meter length connecting channel in RW 08, Pulogadung Urban Village, Pulogadung Sub-district, on Wednesday (12/2).
"We're doing this to smoothen water flow," said East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Santo.

In the meantime, Jakarta SDA Agency Head Juaini Yusuf also participated in the action while monitoring the condition of the Ria Rio Reservoir.
It was because the water would pass through this channel and empties into the Ria Rio Reservoir, thus it should must be cleaned in order to flow water in large quantities.
"It is also done to anticipate inundation and flooding in the area," he stated.
